Illuminated check engine light
Failed emissions test
Rough idle or stalling
Reduced engine power or acceleration
Damage to the catalytic converter
Failed air pump
Faulty check valve
Clogged air injection hose or pipe
Damaged or faulty air injection solenoid valve
Faulty oxygen sensor
Failed engine control module (ECM)
Exhaust Pipe Air Injection: Air is injected into the exhaust gases for better combustion of unburnt fuel and pollutants. This allows better exhaust emission. Problems lead to harmful emissions out of limit
Replace the air pump
Replace the check valve
Clean or replace the air injection hose or pipe
Replace the air injection solenoid valve
Replace the oxygen sensor
Replace the engine control module (ECM) if necessary
